But a day earlier, on Friday, Aug. 23, the attorney for her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, was busy on TV saying there may be certain records that are critical in clearing his client's name.
Jennifer Dulos was reported missing on Friday, May 24. She was last seen dropping off her children at school in the morning. Friends reported her missing later that day after she failed to make numerous appointments.
Since May 24, state and local police have conducted massive searches, and Fotis Dulos, and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, were both charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution.
The arrests came after the two were spotted dumping garbage bags in some 30 locations that contained items that had Jennifer Dulos' blood on them, police said. They are both free on a $500,000 bond.
But all that aside, attorney Norm Pattis told News 8 there are certain records regarding Jennifer Dulos that could "clear" his client.
“What was going on between Mr. Dulos and Mrs. Dulos before she vanished we think is critical to his defense,” Pattis told News 8. “I don’t want to comment about what I think are in those records. Some of them are confidential at this point, but I have a good idea. But our view is that the weeks leading up to Jennifer’s vanishing tell a story and we think that story is consistent with Mr. Dulos’ innocence.”
When asked about Fotis Dulos and Troconis being seen on video surveillance dumping the bags, Pattis told News 8 "that’s an anomaly he can’t account for."
Meanwhile, New Canaan police, who have received more than 1,400 tips regarding the disappearance, are continuing their investigation and have said many times they won't stop looking until Jennifer is found.
